Changelog

What changed in each release of the Kettu desktop app, newest first.

0.0.5

Latest

Kettu 0.0.5 redesigns the Artifacts page.

  • The Artifacts page lays every artifact out flat, three to a row, the most recently opened first, each on its kind’s color. Search, filters by kind and project, grouping by project and session, and the sort are in the buttons beside the title. (#637)
  • A row at the top of the page asks an agent for a new web page or canvas: it opens New session with a line ready for you to finish. An empty page now says how artifacts get there. (#637)
  • The model menus list each agent’s current models first and fold earlier versions under More models; search still finds every model. (#633)
  • The menu bar and tray icon is now the logo’s shaded fox, and stays white in the macOS menu bar. (#634, #638)

0.0.4

Kettu 0.0.4 gives Kettu a new default look.

  • The built-in theme is now a neutral white and gray look in your system’s font: flat columns divided by thin lines, gray hover and selection, and denser rows and controls, in light and dark. (#627)
  • The warm Paper look is now a theme in the catalog. Install it from Settings › Appearance › Browse themes to bring back its colors, with Source Serif 4 for replies and headings and Inter for the interface. (#627)
  • A theme file may choose the font for the interface, for replies and headings, and for code, from the fonts Kettu ships. (#627)

0.0.3

Kettu 0.0.3 tidies up the agent menu.

  • The agent menu lists only the agents you have installed, counting Claude Code or Codex when their CLI is on your machine. The others stay in Settings › Agents, which the menu’s new Set up agents… button opens. (#626)
  • The menu lists an agent’s models before you choose a project. The first time, Kettu starts the agent to read them; once you choose a project, the list shows what the agent offers there. (#629)

0.0.2

A small update to Kettu 0.0.1 that saves a large download when you use your own Claude Code.

  • While Kettu runs the Claude Code you installed, an update of the Claude Agent SDK no longer brings a second copy of Claude Code (about 300 MB) when yours is a version behind. Kettu offers the update once your Claude Code has updated itself, and installs it without the copy. (#624)

0.0.1

The first release of Kettu, a desktop app for the coding agents you already use. This is a preview: expect rough edges, and tell us about them in an issue.

  • Claude Code runs through the Claude Agent SDK and Codex through codex app-server, so their models, reasoning levels, plan limits and tool calls show in full. Kettu sets both up on first use. opencode, Pi and more than 40 other agents run over the Agent Client Protocol.
  • Session history, parallel sessions, sub-sessions and forks from any reply, and an outline of your messages to jump between them
  • Permission cards answered with one key, notifications, and a prompt cache countdown
  • Git status and pull requests, a files pane and a terminal for each project, and a built-in browser that agents can drive and that keeps your sign-ins
  • Token usage, requests and cost across agents, with plan limits
  • Artifacts: the pages and canvases agents create, with their versions, an isolated viewer and a link to share them online
  • Attachments: files, folders and images from the composer, the clipboard or @ mentions, with images, video and audio shown in replies, tool calls and the files pane
  • Routines: agent tasks that run on a schedule within a permission scope, pause near a plan limit and keep their runs
  • Themes from a file or an online catalog, in light and dark, with the Paper look built in
  • Kettu keeps running in the background, with a tray icon, after you close its window
