Use Codex in Kettu
OpenAI’s coding agent: it reads code, edits files and runs commands. Your installed, signed-in Codex runs in Kettu as it is: several sessions side by side, approval requests you spot at a glance, your account and settings unchanged.
- 1Sessions side by sideThe sidebar shows which one is running and which one is waiting for you
- 2Approval requestsThe command and the files to change, exactly as they are; answer with one key
- 3Plan limits5-hour and weekly limits, the context, and how long until the prompt cache expires
Three steps
Install, sign in, start a session
- 01
Install
Install Codex first; if you have not, Kettu shows the official ways to install it in Settings and runs one only when you click it. Kettu runs your
codexthroughcodex app-serverand installs nothing itself. - 02
Sign in
Run
codex loginin a terminal and sign in with your ChatGPT account or an API key. The sign-in stays in its own config folder. - 03
Start a session
Pick a project and Codex, and write what to do; several sessions can run side by side, each in its own worktree.
